Yeatts Rug Plant has processed thousands of rug and carpet serging orders. Our technicians make precise measurements before they do any beveling or cutting of angles or curves as requested by the customer. The customer can select from many colors of true serge yarn or serge tape. As with our other services, superior craftsmanship yields beautiful serging that will last for years.

This hand knotted Bokhara rug needed a thorough cleaning. However, Yeatts Inc. discovers a severe flaw with the fringes.

The fringe was attached onto the rug backward. This view displays the back of the rug with the topside fringe that should be on the pile side of the rug.

Here is a closer view of the fringes detaching away from both ends of the rug. Notice the staples and the binding on the pile side of the rug.

The customer selected serge tape to secure the rug’s foundation.

Here is a Karastan wool rug containing damaged serge yarn sections. After inspection, it was evident the original serge yarn wrapping both sides was deteriorating.


The customer selected serge tape (facing the viewer’s right) instead of traditional serge yarn (facing the viewer’s left) to secure the rug’s perimeter.

A closer view shows serge yarn damage along one section. This damage weakens the entire wool rug foundation.
